Privacy policy
1. Controller
Responsible for data processing on this website:
Kevin Springborn
Email: mintasy.tv@gmail.com
2. In short
MinTasy is a private website without advertising, tracking, or analytics tools. There are no customer accounts, no comments, and no contact form. The website sets no cookies.
Fonts, icons, images, and covers are served from this website's own server, so browsing it sends no data to third parties – with one exception: YouTube videos in the Gaming Journey, and only after you explicitly agree (section 5).
3. Hosting and server log files
The website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus. With every request, the server processes technically necessary data sent by your browser:
- IP address
- date and time of the request
- requested address and amount of data transferred
- browser and operating system (user agent)
- the previously visited page (referrer), if your browser sends it
This data is needed to deliver the website and keep it secure and stable. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the secure operation of the website. Hostinger processes the data on behalf of the website under its data processing addendum, part of its terms of service. How long Hostinger keeps log files is set out in Hostinger's privacy policy.
4. Settings in your browser
The website sets no cookies. It remembers two settings in your browser's local storage – and only when you make that choice yourself:
mintasy-locale: the language you chose with the DE/EN switch.mintasy-youtube: your "Always allow" choice for YouTube videos (section 5).
These values stay in your browser and are not sent to the server or to third parties. On your first visit to the homepage, the website also reads your browser's preferred language to greet you in German or English; this, too, happens only in your browser.
The legal basis for storing them is Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act), as the settings are strictly necessary for the function you asked for. You can delete them at any time in your browser settings or, for YouTube, with "Stop loading YouTube automatically" in a game card.
5. YouTube videos in the Gaming Journey
The game cards of the Gaming Journey can show official trailers and gameplay videos. They come from YouTube, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, embedded in its privacy-enhanced mode via youtube-nocookie.com.
Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you agree. Only when you choose "Load once" or "Always allow" does your browser connect to YouTube. Google then receives in particular your IP address, information about your browser and device, and which video you play. YouTube may store data in your browser. Data may be transferred to the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future by choosing "Stop loading YouTube automatically" in a game card or by clearing your browser's storage for this website. See Google's privacy policy for details.
6. Images, covers, and game data
Photos, game covers, and game data (from IGDB and SteamGridDB) are copied to this website's server in advance. Viewing them therefore does not connect you to those services.
7. Links to other websites
This website links to other services, such as YouTube ("Gameplay on YouTube"), IGDB, or SteamGridDB. Only when you follow such a link does that provider process your data under its own terms.
8. Contact by email
If you email me, I process your details to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for requests about a contract. I delete the message once it has been dealt with and no statutory retention period applies.
9. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You can withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3)). You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77), in particular in the member state where you live.
An email to the address above is enough for any of these requests.
