About
I'm Kevin, and I live in Berlin. I work as a coach and trainer; the rest of the time I spend with a camera, a controller, and tools – preferably on things others have written off: old consoles, CRT monitors, film cameras.

- I'm sorting through some 270 photos for the gallery on this site.
- I keep building this website – no tracking, photos and game data on its own server.
Background
I started out with an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk, then studied media informatics. My thesis became an iOS app that helps people learn photography: it reads the phone's camera data and the image itself and turns them into tips. After that I worked as a software developer. Today I'm a coach and trainer, and the job brings together everything I've learned: business topics from the industrial clerk apprenticeship, IT from studying media informatics, and cross-functional topics such as project management. I searched for this kind of work for a long time – at last a job that feels meaningful to me.
What drives me
Photography
Street and night photography, often with long exposures. Film as well as digital – I scan my negatives myself and develop the images on the computer, with an eye on light and composition.

It started on the NES. For a few years I streamed role-playing games and put the videos on YouTube. Live events like Awesome Games Done Quick still fascinate me, and these days indie development draws me most, where creativity and tech meet.
Open the Gaming JourneyRetro tech and hardware
I bring CRT monitors, old consoles and handhelds, record players, and classic cameras back to life – and then actually use them. I'm just as happy with new hardware and put together PCs for friends and family.
Craft and DIY
Painting models, working on my own car, woodworking, restoring old furniture, building greenhouse terrariums, and 3D printing: my favourite projects need both precision and trying things out.

In films I watch for camera work, composition, and sound design – and for the voices. Ever since growing up with Die drei ??? radio plays, I've been fascinated by how dubbing and voice work bring characters to life.
